Neighborhood Sign – Ironwoods
I was invited to be part of the design process for the Ironwoods sign by the stonemason Marc Archambault whose company Hammerhead Stoneworks built the sign foundation.
The sign is double sided and can be seen entering and leaving the Ironwoods neighborhood. It is entirely made of steel, with long forged sweeping bars that intertwine around the sign board and the letters. I am very hands on with my projects so I am often involved in the installation
Lost Hollow Children’s Garden sign
The entrance to the Lost Hollow Children’s Garden at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, NC needed to be resplendent with a grand announcement, at a height that children would relate to. I used the timeless grace of copper, oak and forged steel to bring the logo of the garden to life.
