The entry to this residence is set back off the street and the gate serves to separate the passageway from the public space as well being a security feature.
The lock is wired into the home’s security system and can be unlocked manually with a key or can be automatically unlocked from inside the building.
The forgings and gate posts are all solid bar, each leaf weighs about 300lbs.
The design was created by thinking about interesting ways in which the ironwork could be joined and letting the shapes of the structural elements lead the overall look.
