“I design and make in metal at two different scales and for two different places - the home and the body. I use very different techniques for these two areas of work but they do cross-pollinate each other too.
My ironwork for the home is based around moving hot metal - using many traditional blacksmithing techniques and incorporating them into modern pieces.
Working with hot steel led me to working with hot silver & copper making mokume gane which in turn led to making jewelry.”
